Comfortable Workspaces Increase Employee Efficiency and Productivity
Fellowes, Inc. Offers New Ergonomic Products to Meet All Office Workers' Needs
Itasca, Ill. (January 10, 2007) - With the extensive hours office employees spend sitting in front of a computer, shoulder, neck and back pain is not uncommon in today's work environment. In fact, 1.8 million workers suffer from musculoskeletal disorders, such as carpal tunnel syndrome and low back pain, each year, according to the Occupational Health and Safety Administration. Unfortunately, many employers fail to understand that these office discomforts can negatively impact a company's bottom line because they decrease productivity.
Adding to decreased productivity are cluttered workspaces. However, by using products to increase comfort and organization, companies can help their employees avoid health ailments and disorderly desks, which in turn increase workers' efficiency and productivity. Today Fellowes, Inc. is introducing several new ergonomic products designed to clear workspace and address office comfort from head to toe.
"In many cases, the problems that lead to persistent physical discomfort can be fixed by simply improving the workspace setup," said Tim Shipley, Marketing Manager, at Fellowes, Inc. "Employees are spending countless hours at their desks, so Fellowes' ergonomic products are designed to eliminate the daily pains associated with working in an office, while increasing office organization."
