Fellowes, Inc. Names New Chief Financial Officer
Itasca, Ill. (January 07, 2008) – Fellowes, Inc., the leading shredder
manufacturer, today announced the appointment of Brian Cooper to Chief
Financial Officer, overseeing all financial matters of the company’s
operations.
“As we continue to expand our business and bring new and innovative products to
the marketplace, it is essential to have strong financial leadership in place,”
said Jamie Fellowes, chairman and CEO of Fellowes, Inc. “Brian’s extensive
management and financial experience is invaluable to our executive team and
will help lead our company into the future.”
Cooper will be responsible for promoting effective decision-making and
efficiencies that will help Fellowes continue to successfully build its brands
and profitability. He joins Fellowes from United Stationers Inc., where he had
served as senior vice president and treasurer since 2001. In this role, Cooper
led treasury, planning and acquisition activities, including capital structure
changes and a number of strategic business transactions.
Prior to United Stationers Inc., Cooper served as the treasurer of Burns
International Services Corporation and held various financial positions during
his 12-year tenure with Amoco Corporation.
Cooper holds a B.A. in economics from Davidson College in Charlotte, N.C., as
well as an MBA in finance and marketing from the University of Chicago Graduate
School of Business.
