Great for All This item has been better than expected. It rarely jams and runs much longer than any other schredder that I have owned. June 3, 2013
Worst Shredder Ever This is a poor design. The drawer arrangement from the front would be ok if the paper would fully leave the shredding mechanism when shredding. Unfortunately, the paper sticks on the shredder and when you pull the drawer out to empty it, paper that is stuck on the underside of the shredder gets caught and most of it ends up in the bottom of the shredder cabinet or on the floor. I tried emptying the drawer when paper first showed in the see through door (when it was less than half full) but even that didn't help much. Once you get the least little bit of shredded paper at the bottom of the shredder, the drawer won't close all the way. The only option is to lift the shredder to "dump" all the loose bits of paper or otherwise clean out the paper that didn't come out with the drawer. It is a constant fight to keep the cabinet clean of paper. Better keep your broom or vacuum nearby when emptying the drawer. Another design flaw is the slot for putting in the paper to be shredded. It is attractive to look at with the rounded design but requires that you have a tight grip on all the sheets of paper and hold them until they are well into the slot or some will miss the slot. It also is a very loud shredder. Don't buy this shredder! April 1, 2012
Worst Purchase Ever We received this unit today. On the first use it jammed, stopped or something with only 6 pages of 20# paper had to use reverse to free it. The design is lousy. If you have ground 1 page to many all the excess is drug off the top of the drawer as you pull it out making one huge mess!!! You can not tell when is going to do this because the ground paper stacks itself in the middle thus making the mess even if the drawer is only half full. Another thing you all are a bunch of liarers YOUR big fancy add says it can handle 9 pages (false), staples (only if it misses a blade), paper clips (however when I received it; it states in the operating instructions that it will NOT handle paper clips). Your ad also states it will shredd CD&DVD's Again IN the operating instructions it states that it will NOT. What a piece of junk compared to our previous Fellowes. Anyone who buys the 59Cb is going to be very very disappointed or stupid!! March 21, 2012
