Palm Support for Mouse
I was given this palm support after a seminar on office ergonomics that I attended. It was recommended that computer users support the palm so that they don't put pressure on their wrists, thereby possibly causing "carpal tunnel" syndrome, which is swelling of the tendons when they are aggravated over time and thereby putting pressure on the nerve. (It keeps the forearm and wrist in a straight alignment and not bent).
This palm support attaches to the end of the mouse with two elastic band "tethers" that stick onto both sides of the mouse so that when you move your mouse, the palm support stays with it. The palm support is loose, however, so it does swivel left and right somewhat, but it doesn't seem to be too big a problem. It took a couple of days for me to get used to the feel of having the palm support there, but now it feels normal to me. It also comes with a pad that has a durable and easy-glide surface and also has Microban to inhibit bacteria. I gave the durability a little lower score because I am not sure if the elastic bands and the adhesive will degrade over time. Everything else on the product is of high quality.
I would recommend this product for computer users to help prevent carpal tunnel syndrome.
