Indoor Air Quality Assessment

Building Health Check

We offer an economical and focused evaluation of the targeted indoor environment in question. The evaluation combines field and lab assays to report on the biological conditions and performance of the selected areas of the building. Specialists will conduct specific tests and analysis during their investigation including photo documentation. Air and Surface samples will be collected for bacteria, mold, and particulates. Temperature, Relative Humidity and Wall Moisture is also measured and logged. Comprehensive evaluation of your indoor environment will be based upon HVAC zones. With the combined field and laboratory assays, we then report on the biological conditions and performance of a building. Our air checks are customizable to meet your specific air and building concerns.

What Does it Include?

service

A Healthy Air Check Service Can Include:

  • Mold assessments
  • Allergen & dust screening
  • Contaminant source & risk assessments
  • Wall & floor moisture testing
  • Temperature & humidity logging
  • Infrared thermography (optional add-on)
  • Test & balance reporting (optional add-on)

Once the data of a focused Building Health Check is compiled and analyzed a detailed report is provided. The report outlines the conditions of the building's selected areas and offers remedial recommendations, should above baseline IAQ issues be found.

HVAC Hygiene Assessment

An HVAC hygiene assessment precisely lets you know the impact your HVAC system has on your facilities Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and bottom line. It's important to assess the Energy and IAQ status of your AHU as over time your HVAC system can become dirty. In turn, this can decrease its performance and degrade your facility's IAQ to the detriment of the occupants' health.

The HVAC Hygiene Assessment starts with a close visual inspection of the air handling unit for cleanliness. This includes but is not limited to the evaporator coils, drain pan, blower and the corresponding duct work. Samples are collected from within the AHU, and performance testing is done to determine if there is any impact to pressure or airflow across the evaporator coils.

These samples, along with other data logged from the inspection is sent to a laboratory for testing and analysis to determine if bacteria or fungi are present and in what quantity. The presence of COVID can be also tested for.

HVAC Hygiene Assessment Can Include:

  • Airflow & energy efficiency testing
  • Air conveyance hygiene & prioritization
  • Duct leakage
  • Building pressure analysis
  • Air filtration
  • Post construction evaluations
  • Building air tightness testing

The HVAC system is an integral part of the IAQ in your buildings. Utilize this unique service to help schedule routine maintenance on the equipment to help keep it in optimal condition for long-term energy and equipment savings.
