Dear Review Reader,
I have this produce, a Gel, wrist rest, blue, the CRC is CRC98735 although this was not recognised earlier on in the log-in process. I have no difficulty with its functionality but it has a very strong smell, which seems to stem from the materials of manufacture. I need to have the window open to get rid of the smell it is so strong, it probably consists of volatile organic compounds being released. This happened as soon as I opened the packaging. I need to know what to do as I cannot use it for very long without opening the window or abandoning my work at the PC. I store it in an enclosed space beneath the desk (with the keyboard) so that it doesn't contaminate the enviornmnet where that I occupy during the day. Can I have some guidance as to what to do to get rid of the smell. Regards, Phil.

With our Gel products we experience a little smell sometimes when opening the product that disappears in short time after opening. A little smell when opening sealed plastic products is not unusual.

Such a strong smell as in indicated here lasting over a longer time is unusual and will be investigated further.
