" We are a repro house that does comb binding on a fairly frequent basis. Our old unit broke and so we quickly decided to purchase this unit from Fellowes. It was easy enough to use that I didn't need to instructions to get rolling, and soon knocked out 3 bound copies of about 150+ pages in no time. Seems durable and well constructed, I'd give it two thumbs up. "

Updated Model Stinks

We've owned several of the older versions of the Galaxy e500 machines. We've never had issues with them until years later and lots of heavy use. Considering the price point we felt we got our money's worth. However, this last week we had to replace our previous machine. Once the new one arrived I noticed the following things immediately when unboxing it: No Power Cord in the box. The controls were different, and not longer had the dial to adjust for covers. Yes, there is a switch, but sometimes you need to adjust it. There are also controls on the top of the machine that are now gone. After stealing the power cord from our other machine I tested it out. First punch I immediately notice that the metal die cuts didn't retract all the way, so when you tried to put in your next set of paper to punch it wouldn't go in all the way. To clear the bars you had to push the punch button to reset them. Also, once you get the bars to reset, and punch the next set they get stuck again, and you can't get the papers out without hitting the punch button yet again. I used to love this machine, but not now.

Jeff Canfield at Fellowes resolved my problem in a timely, friendly, and professional manner. So, if you are concerned with service after the sale, please consider a Fellowes! "
